About The Nutcracker

Dive into the dreamy world of “The Nutcracker,” an enchanting Christmas ballet set to the iconic score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Hosted in the historic Hybernia Theatre on Náměstí Republiky, this performance pays homage to the original choreography of Lev Ivanov. Since its debut at the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg in 1892, “The Nutcracker” has secured its place as a global ballet classic.

Our rendition, masterfully choreographed by Alexander Kysil, spans 105 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. It’s tailored to captivate both adults and young enthusiasts alike.

Embark on a captivating journey with Clara and her cherished toy, the Nutcracker. As Christmas Eve unfolds, you’ll be left pondering: Is this tale of magic, love, and dreams merely a fantasy or reality? Was the puppet show Clara witnessed merely a show or a prelude to a magical night? And is Uncle Drosselmeyer truly a magician? Join us, and awaken the genuine spirit of Christmas. Discover the answers in a realm where imagination knows no bounds.

Doors open 30 minutes before the performance. Please arrive early to enjoy our pre-show ambiance and seating assistance.

Dress code is smart casual. Photography without flash is permitted during curtain calls.
